Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Systems Administrator 3 to join our client-focused IT team in Fredericksburg, VA. The role requires deep expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, VMWare, and scripting with PowerShell and Ansible to support a DoJ/FBI program and a security-conscious lab environment.

The position is full-time, on-site with Top Secret clearance and a salary range of $125,000 to $175,000 per year, plus benefits. Travel up to 5% CONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support a technology lab meeting outside customers' evidence collection needs.
• Support a DOJ/FBI program with data collection systems development.
• Manage Group Policy Objects in the AD environment.
• Perform Systems Administration and LAN support with AD management.
• Interface with customers to assess support needs and provide solutions.
• Design, install, or maintain network components and configurations.
• Create and implement scripted management tools.
• Operate networks, diagnose problems, and perform recovery.
• Recommend procurement or changes to network components.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Infrastructure teams on secure deployments.
• Communicate complex technical solutions to stakeholders.
