Job summary

M9 Solutions is seeking a System Administrator 3 to support a government contract in Chantilly, VA. This onsite role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and hands-on work with Windows, Active Directory, virtualization, security standards, and IA practices.

You will manage security systems, apply STIGs, administer VMware/Hyper-V, Citrix Xen Desktop VDI, SQL databases, and storage platforms. Occasional travel up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS may be needed; collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years progressive experience, or Associate's with 8+ years, or HS diploma with 10+ years.
• System administrator experience in triage, problem resolution, data analysis, and workstation deployment.
• 2+ years experience programming/administrating Physical Access Control Systems.
• Experience managing small teams.
• Windows patching and vulnerability remediation expertise.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Active Directory hierarchy.
• Basic networking knowledge: VLANs and routing.
• Willingness to work on-site as required by the client; flexible shifts including nights/weekends.
• Security+ or CASP or CISSP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical security system support to meet SLAs.
• Configure Windows OS and install/load OS software.
• Perform desktop setup, imaging, and antivirus updates.
• Analyze security system performance and suggest improvements.
• Troubleshoot and improve reliability of components and OS enhancements.
• Provide detailed analysis to management and client for escalated tickets.
• Apply STIGs to Windows servers and workstations.
• Manage Active Directory architecture and daily operations.
• Configure and maintain VMware/Hyper-V virtualization.
• Deploy and maintain Citrix Xen Desktop VDI.
• Install, configure, and maintain 3rd party applications.
• Install and maintain SQL databases.
• Manage storage platforms (Dell EqualLogic/PowerVault).
• Travel up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS.
• Train users and support personnel.
• Produce SOPs and as-built documentation.
