Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator/Help Desk Engineer to support the Chinook Agile software development program for an Intelligence Community customer. You will lead Linux/Windows system administration, ensure availability, security, and performance, and work with DevSecOps and cybersecurity teams in a fast-paced, classified environment.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD STIGs, virtualization (VMware/KVM), automation (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash), and experience with

Qualifications

• Experience with DoD STIGs and RMF processes.
• Ability to diagnose hardware, software, and end-user issues.
• Experience with virtualization and enterprise storage concepts.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python).
• Experience in secure, mission-critical IC/DoD environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead system administration for Linux and Windows in secure environments.
• Manage support tickets through resolution with strong customer service.
• Architect and manage server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure.
• Perform OS installation, hardening, and patching per DoD policies.
• Monitor performance, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues.
• Oversee backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Maintain automation scripts and infrastructure as code (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash).
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and software teams for compliance.
• Participate in security audits, incident response, and readiness activities.
