Ladders is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer, Automotive Performance, to join our team as a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role focuses on optimizing real-time automotive system software for high-performance platforms in a fast-moving, safety-critical environment.

You will collaborate with architecture, power, testing, and ADAS teams to improve benchmarks, reduce overhead, and enhance runtime efficiency across next-generation automotive stacks.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of proven experience in systems or software performance.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with automotive sector experience.
• Proficient in Linux and QNX; Android knowledge is a plus.
• Solid understanding of benchmarking, boot time optimization, and runtime performance improvements.
• Knowledge of hypervisors, virtualization, and overhead analysis.
• Experience with profiling utilities to enhance system software efficiency.
• AI/ML experience is highly desirable.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior System Software Engineer, Automotive Performance to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will focus on optimizing complex automotive system software for high-performance platforms in a fast-moving, safety-critical environment. You will partner closely with architecture, power, testing, and advanced driver assistance teams to improve benchmark results, reduce overhead, and enhance runtime efficiency across next-generation systems. The position also involves advancing profiling capabilities and applying AI-assisted techniques to improve visibility and performance tuning across the stack.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $152,000 – $287,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Optimize system software for automotive performance platforms using a real-time operating system
