Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience as a System Safety Engineer or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and customer needs
• Conduct and review complex safety analyses at system and sub-system levels
• Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams to implement safety solutions
• Identify and document hazards and risks; manage hazard tracking databases
• Support Design Requirements Process as Subject Matter Expert to ensure safety best practices
• Lead safety reviews (PDR/CDR/MRR) and present to leadership
• Triage Safety corrective actions from RCCA and Mishap Reports
• Drive continuous improvement in System Safety processes and methodologies
• Verify and validate risk and hazard reduction measures
• Liaise with customers, regulators, and internal stakeholders on safety matters
• Ensure compliance with military and industry safety standards
