Our work includes advanced sensors, autonomous systems, mission command and control software, AI‑enabled training and simulation, and tools that improve logistics, maintenance, and overall readiness.

For nearly 30 years we have supported military and civilian agencies across the Department of Defense, U.S. allies and partners, and essential industries. When you join Accelint, your work directly contributes to protecting national security and strengthening the systems our society depends on.

Accelint brings together the talents of Hypergiant, Forward Slope, Systems Innovation Engineering, SoarTech, and Highbury Defense Group under one mission, with each entity contributing deep expertise in its domain. This role is part of our Highbury Defense Group (HDG) division, which specialises in C2, systems engineering, cyber, and international mission support. HDG brings decades of experience supporting the DoD, Department of State, and allied partners, delivering practical, technically rigorous solutions that strengthen operational readiness around the world.

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support systems and system‑of‑systems engineering efforts across complex technical environments. This role will be responsible for architecture design, integration, testing, implementation, certification activities, and technical analysis in support of mission and business objectives.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. This position requires strong problem‑solving abilities, technical documentation experience, and the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct systems and system‑of‑systems architecture design, integration, implementation, testing, review, and certification activities.
  • Perform technical requirements definition and allocation across multiple systems and stakeholders.
  • Conduct data analysis, interpret findings, and summarize results to support operational and technical decision‑making.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, procedures, reports, and supporting materials.
  • Analyze data from multiple disparate sources to identify trends, draw conclusions, and address business or operational challenges.
  • Support cross‑functional teams in the execution of engineering and technical initiatives.
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex technical problems.
  • Support administration, configuration, and troubleshooting activities across multiple operating systems and virtualised environments.
  • Perform all functional duties independently with minimal oversight while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of relevant systems engineering or technical integration experience. Additional experience supporting Tactical Data Links (TDL), Command and Control (C2) systems, or defence programmes is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technical concepts to assigned responsibilities.
  • Experience working with and analysing data from multiple sources to support business or technical objectives.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Tactical Data Links (TDL), Command and Control (C2) software, and High‑Power Amplifier Groups.
  • Experience supporting or working with MIDS On‑Ship (MOS) environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience as a systems administrator supporting various operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware and virtualised environments.
  • Experience handling or supporting COMSEC‑related processes and equipment.
