Job summary

Palomar Products, a global leader in secure military communications, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to own complex embedded systems from concept through qualification. You will collaborate with Software, FPGA, Electrical and Test teams in a hands-on role that supports aerospace and defence programs.

Applicants should have 8+ years in Systems Engineering, MBSE experience, SysML and Cameo, and be proficient with DOORS/Visure/JAMA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience in Systems Engineering within aerospace, defence, avionics or other complex embedded systems.
• Strong experience developing and managing system and test requirements.
• Experience with MBSE, SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS, Visure or JAMA.
• Experience supporting system integration, verification and qualification testing; understanding of DO-178C and DO-254 processes and deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system‑level requirements, interfaces and architecture throughout the product lifecycle.
• Own MBSE activities using Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML.
• Develop system specifications, ICDs, requirements traceability and verification documentation.
• Collaborate with Software, FPGA, Electrical, Mechanical and Test Engineering teams to ensure successful system integration.
• Develop verification and validation plans supporting qualification, testing and product release.
• Support design reviews, system testing and technical issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership where appropriate.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll take ownership of complex embedded systems, leading requirements and architecture from concept through verification and qualification while working alongside Software, FPGA, Electrical and Test Engineering teams.
