Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, validate, and verify cockpit avionics for US Army SOA programs such as MH-60M and MH-47G. You will perform requirements-based testing in a lab, support cross-functional teams, and work with various engineering tools.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and experience with data buses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429). Familiarity with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA, and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, requirements, validation, and verification for cockpit avionics.

• Investigate lab hardware interfaces with Collins Aerospace equipment.

Job description

Job Description

• You will perform design, requirements, validation, & verification tasks for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics for the US Army Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs.
• You will perform Platform Systems specific on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• You will support cross-functional team development with both external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams for different Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) builds.
• You will perform your tasks using various engineering tools including TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft, SVN and others.
• You will perform investigations of the Collins Aerospace lab hardware and environment; including integration investigations of the interfaces for Collin Aerospace equipment and government furnished equipment in the lab.

Required qualifications

• Relevant Systems Engineering Job Experience
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Working knowledge / understanding of data busses and protocols (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429)

Preferred qualifications

• Military Avionics Experience
• Experience with TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA and/or Microsoft Office Suite is desired
