Installs, configures, and supports physical, virtual, and Cloud Data Center servers and services, prepares support documentation, and maintains and supports an enterprise-level server-based computing environment.

Assist and mentor Junior Systems Engineers and act as a second tier of support for ongoing project work or issue resolution.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Build, configure, deploy, support, and maintain Intel/AMD based Servers running all versions of Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux/Other OS on physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
2. Perform System Administrator activities to support multiple Server production systems in an enterprise environment.
3. Maintain skills and perform highly skilled System Management activities related to technologies associated with or dependent on the Windows/Other OS Intel/AMD based Server environment.
4. Maintain and support virtual server and hypervisor-based platform infrastructure services as well as Cloud/SaaS Infrastructure.
5. Maintain configuration, patch, and backup management of production Servers.
6. Participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of server performance.
7. Provide 24/7 on-call support.
8. Create and maintain technical support documentation and procedures, including Disaster Recovery plans.
9. Participate in technology projects and serve as a liaison to end-users and vendors.
10. Perform problem management and root cause analysis, escalate issues as necessary.
11. Serve as a resource for troubleshooting advice to support staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Vocational or Technical training required.
• 3-5 years of related work experience required.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

• Advanced technical skills specific to the support of related systems.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• AWS, RHEL, Windows certifications.
• Project management certifications.
