Job summary

JobAdder Operations Pty is seeking a System Electrical Engineer, Senior level, to own the electrical engineering of a public power T&D system. In California-based role, you’ll manage studies, relay schemes, design, bidding, and budgets, working with field crews to bring designs to life.

You will guide protective schemes, switchgear design, and field implementation, with growth toward California PE eligibility and broader utility experience in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
• Senior level requires 5+ years of electric utility experience.
• Ability to become a California Professional Engineer.
• Ability to read and apply electrical one-lines, schematics, and manuals.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, ANSI, California Title 8 and Cal/OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Design and schedule long- and short-term construction and maintenance programs.
• Prioritize projects to conform to standards and codes.
• Oversee electrical control schematics and one-lines.
• Perform and supervise system calculations and studies.
• Mentor non-engineers and field personnel with technical expertise.
• Build bid tabulations for equipment and proposals.
• Prepare construction bid documents for new T&D lines and upgrades.
• Coordinate joint projects with utilities and authorities.
• Assist in budgeting and expense tracking.
