Job summary

Amazon Leo in Arlington, VA is seeking a Sr System Development Engineer to connect plant-floor assets with MES, deploy custom manufacturing apps, and enable real-time data flow across the enterprise.

You will build dashboards, digital work instructions, traceability tools, and production monitoring, while applying AI for predictive maintenance and process optimization in a satellite manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Integrate machines, PLCs, SCADA, and production equipment with MES and enterprise systems.
• Develop custom manufacturing applications and dashboards for shop-floor use.
• Deploy applied AI solutions for predictive maintenance, quality inspection, and process optimization.
• Enable real-time data flow between shop floor and higher-level business systems.
