General Motors is seeking a Senior System Design Engineer to define and lead the system design and technical specifications for automated driving technologies. You will bridge system, architecture, hardware and software domains and drive early stage design for next-generation vehicles.

As a Senior System Design Engineer, you will help us define, design, and lead the System Design and Technical Specifications for automated driving technologies and AV.
In this position, you will have the chance to work at the intersection of System, Architecture, Hardware, Software, and automated driving technology and have a hand in the early stages of GM's next generation vehicles.
Leads and generates technical solutions including specifying of requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs.
Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least AV/ADAS feature.
Leads development of software system team design content and software anomaly corrections.
Migrates existing tests into automated pipelines in partnership with software team.
Supports on-bench and on-vehicle integration issue investigation for AV serial data in SDV2 Visibility: at the site/team level.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}.
The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role.
