Job summary

CTS International in Hazelwood, Missouri is seeking an Experienced Mid-Level System Design Electrical Engineer to support multiple programs. This role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

The CMCS team develops maintenance equipment, networks, and computing hardware for aircraft subsystems across the product lifecycle, including verification and test readiness. You will analyze requirements and translate them into hardware/software designs in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 3+ years familiarity with electrical avionics system design and hardware/software integration.
• Experience with VPX/VME form factor.
• Knowledge of RS-422/RS-232, PC/104, TCP/IP & Ethernet, IEEE-488, MMSI, MIL-STD-1553.
• ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Hardware/software integration support.
• Design and documentation of electrical systems, components, connections, and interfaces.
• System schematic analysis and design.
• System requirements analysis and development.
• System verification and sell-off.
• System test requirement analysis and interface design.
• Develop wiring for test articles/sub-assemblies.
• Support lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisition.
• Select electrical hardware components.
