Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, seeks a senior Systems Lead for Product Creation and Industrialization (PC&I) to grow a high‑performance team. You will drive system assurance across vehicle programs, align requirements with test plans, and guide HW/SW integration to a successful global launch.

You will collaborate with product, validation, software, hardware, design and quality teams, mentoring engineers and shaping strategies for reliable, secure automotive systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software, electrical, or mechanical engineering related field required.
• Experience in system engineering, software and hardware integration within automotive industry.
• Proven ability to define, develop and optimize secure and safe vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Grow system assurance: lead strategy and processes to deliver quality systems and align rollout with requirements deliverables.
• Strategic leadership: set direction for the System Assurance Engineering team and drive cross‑organizational test strategies.
• System ownership: launch systems across global vehicle portfolio with robust architecture, DFMEAs, and integrated HW/SW solutions.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with product/program management, validation, software, hardware, design and quality teams.
• Triage and troubleshooting: provide technical guidance and troubleshoot system operation with cross-functional teams.
• Quality assurance & risk management: drive launch feedback and mitigate technical risks to ensure delivery.
• Continuous improvement & communication: drive process improvements and report status to leadership.
