Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a System Administrator III to design, implement, secure, and maintain its core IT infrastructure in a high-security environment. This senior role provides Tier 3 incident support, leads infrastructure projects, mentors junior staff, and ensures availability, performance, and compliance with ISO 27001/NIST standards.

The position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph and 10–15+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10-15+ years of progressively responsible experience in system administration, with significant experience in medium to large enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience operating as a Tier 3 resource for complex infrastructure issues.
• An active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain servers, storage, and core services (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Manage virtualization environments (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V) and SAN/NAS storage.
• Administer Windows and/or Linux servers; patching, hardening, lifecycle management.
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging for reliability and performance.
• Lead security controls, vulnerability management, audits, and incident response.
