Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton in Maryland seeks a lead System Administrator with customer-facing experience to secure Windows and Linux environments and help modernize our enterprise network for mission success.

You will guide a team, provide Tier 1–3 support, manage Active Directory, DNS, PKI, VMware, patching, RMF/ STIGs, and contribute to a secure, mission-critical IT landscape in both classified and unclassified settings.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud).
• Experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
• Experience with virtualization using VMware/Hyper‑V.
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with networking fundamentals and security for classified environments.
• Proven ability to operate in DoD security environments with TS/SCI clearance.
• DoD 8140/8570 certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CCNA, or CASP+.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, secure, maintain, and optimize Windows and Linux OS.
• Maintain AD, DNS, DHCP, PKI and core enterprise services.
• Administer and support VMware and other virtualization.
• Apply DoD cybersecurity requirements (STIGs, RMF, ACAS/Tenable).
• Provide Tier 1–3 escalation support for complex issues.
• Monitor performance, uptime, capacity and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Patch, backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and software development.
