Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior System Administrator (internally known as SeniorAnalyst) based in Tucson, AZ, to design, implement, and maintain secure IT environments for classified programs. The role emphasizes collaboration with Cybersecurity and program teams to meet DoD standards and ensure 24x7 availability.

The candidate will work onsite full-time, travel up to 10%, and pursue DoDD 8140/8570-related certifications within six months. A Top Secret clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting information systems.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Manage virtualized environments.
• Utilize your experience with Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Utilize your experience with hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption and server management tools.
• Utilize your experience in data backup and restore, using industry best practice.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Travel required as business needs dictate to other US Domestic locations, up to 10% per year.
• Work full time, 100% Onsite position.

What You Will Do

• Experience with networking administration, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
