Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior System Administrator (Internally known as Senior Analyst) in Tucson, AZ to support information workplace services across classified programs. The role demands securing Windows/Linux environments, managing virtualization, and collaborating with Cybersecurity to meet DoD requirements.

The position requires a TS clearance, U.S. citizenship, and readiness to travel up to 10% within the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting information systems.
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.
  • Manage virtualized environments.
  • Utilize your experience with Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • Utilize your experience with hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption and server management tools.
  • Utilize your experience in data backup and restore, using industry best practice.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
  • Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
  • Travel required as business needs dictate to other US Domestic locations, up to 10% per year.
  • Work full time, 100% Onsite position.

Senior System Administrator, internally known as Senior Analyst, based in Tucson, AZ. Information Workplace Services collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.   • Experience with networking administration, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
