Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a System Administrator II for the Southlake Campus to manage, secure, and optimize enterprise systems and medical devices. You will collaborate with Radiology, Lab, Pharmacy, and other IT groups to ensure high availability and security of critical systems.

Responsibilities include serving as a Tier-II resource, coordinating cross-team efforts, planning upgrades, maintaining documentation, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or a related field or 2:1 equivalent experience.
• High School Graduate with 5+ years of experience in a related Information Systems field.
• Preferred Master’s Degree with healthcare IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a Tier-II support resource and coordinates issues across IT teams.
• Acts as an escalation point for unresolved system issues.
• Maintains documentation on system configurations, contacts, and functionality.
• Plans and coordinates system upgrades and updates with other teams and vendors.
• Protects hospital assets and data through secure systems and adherence to policies.
• Verifies backups and disaster recovery plans are up to date.
• Mentors and trains team members; collaborates with internal hospital teams.
