Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior System Administrator in Huntsville, AL to lead and mentor two junior admins in a large enterprise environment. The role focuses on AD, SSO, MFA, Intune, and cloud identity with EntraID integration.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of enterprise experience, strong VMware VCF/vCenter skills, and storage/backups expertise (Pure, Isilon, Veeam). This is a hands-on, leadership-oriented IC role with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 recent years as a system administrator in an enterprise level business.
• Must possess a BS degree.
• Proficient in Windows Active Directory Environment including Group Policy, SSO, MFA, Intune.
• Experience with SAN technologies: Pure Storage, Isilon.
• Desire to take on leadership responsibilities.
• Very experienced with VMware VCF and Vcenter.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise two System Administrators as the senior expert.
• Oversee Windows Active Directory, GPO, SSO, MFA, and Intune in a large enterprise.
• Manage EntraID/Azure AD and cloud integration.
• Work in a virtual environment with VMware VCF and Vcenter.
• Provide leadership in backup strategies and storage management (Veeam, Pure, Isilon).

This person will be an individual contributor, but also supervise 2 System Admins. They need to be the \"expert\" of the group and the other two sys admins will run approvals through this person. They are a virtual environment. This person needs to be a Senior Sys Admin looking for more responsibility

Skills and Requirements

Microsoft 365 G3/G5 licensing level

EntraID (if they have to ask about this, then they are not the right person. This is Active Directory in the Cloud)

All Aspects of Windows Active Directory Environment including Group Policy, SSO, MFA, Intune in an enterprise level environment (not a small mom and pop, at least a couple of hundred employees)

SAN technologies/Pure Storage/Isilon (some storage experience)

• Desire to take on leadership responsibilities

Must have at least 5 recent years as a system administrator minimum in an enterprise level business.

Must possess a BS degree

Basic Networking Experience: VmWare VCF and Vcenter. They need to be very versed in VMWare and Vcenter.
