Job summary

Find Great People | FGP is seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join a lean infrastructure team supporting a large resort environment. This hands-on role maintains core systems, keeps them secure, available, and running efficiently, across Windows, VMware, networking, storage, and security domains.

You will lead: responding to incidents, designing and implementing IT infrastructure for new construction, and creating documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on with Windows Server, AD, GP, VMware, networking, security, storage, and DR.
• Experience in on-site, on-call environments in hospitality or resort settings preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior resource and escalation point for infrastructure operations.
• Manage and support Windows Server, AD, GP in hybrid/onsite environments.
• Administer VMware vSphere across VMs, hosts, clusters, and storage.
• Support enterprise networking including routing, switching, wireless, VPNs, firewalls.
• Maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery across data centers.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across servers, networks, and storage.
• Participate in upgrades, modernization, and project initiatives.
• Assist with new construction/expansion by designing supporting IT infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for incidents.

We are seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join a lean, highly skilled infrastructure team supporting a large, complex resort environment. This is a hands-on senior-level role responsible for maintaining and improving the organization's core infrastructure, ensuring systems remain secure, available, and operating efficiently.

Unlike highly specialized enterprise roles, this position requires a well-rounded infrastructure professional who can confidently support Windows Server, VMware, networking, wireless, storage, firewalls, backups, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting complex issues, working across multiple technologies, and serving as a technical leader within a small team.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for infrastructure operations.
• Manage and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and hybrid environments.
• Administer VMware infrastructure, including virtual machines, hosts, clusters, and storage.
• Support enterprise networking including switching, routing, wireless, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery systems across primary and secondary data centers.
• Monitor infrastructure health, performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues across servers, networks, storage, and virtualization platforms.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes, and modernization initiatives.
• Assist with new construction and expansion projects by designing and implementing supporting IT infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to critical infrastructure incidents when needed.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Windows Server Administration
• Active Directory & Group Policy
• VMware vSphere
• Enterprise Networking (Routing, Switching, Wireless)
• Firewall Administration
• Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions
• Storage Systems
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across multiple technology domains.
• Experience supporting production environments where uptime, reliability, and security are critical.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Must be comfortable working onsite and participating in an on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Fortinet firewalls and security solutions.
• Experience with Ruckus, Cisco, or similar networking platforms.
• Experience supporting multi-site environments and data centers.
• Experience leading infrastructure projects and mentoring junior IT staff.
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
