Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Synthetic Data Engineer to join the DRIVE team, designing and building a simulation environment for autonomous driving at scale. You will work with NuRec, Cosmos, and sensor simulation stakeholders to produce high-fidelity synthetic data and robust evaluation pipelines.

You will develop tools for simulated lidar/radar sensors, world models, and domain-randomized scenarios, with production-grade Linux, Python, and C++ expertise driving scalable deployments in data

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS/EE/CE/Applied Math/Physics or related field required (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of experience in computer graphics, computer vision, autonomous driving, sensor simulation, neural rendering, or related software engineering roles.
• Strong Python and C++ skills with production-quality Linux systems experience.
• Solid mathematical foundation in linear algebra, geometry, probability.
• Familiarity with synthetic data annotations, data formats, dataset curation, data augmentation, and evaluation workflows for perception model training and validation.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain synthetic data tools for training DRIVE networks across lidar, radar, camera, and sensor metadata.
• Develop lidar/radar sensor simulation workflows and scene variation.
• Develop Cosmos world model for controllable scenario generation and evaluation.
• Align dataset requirements with perception network needs and close gaps with new tooling.
• Create dataset quality assessments and sim-to-real transfer procedures for autonomous driving.
• Set up and supervise large-scale NuRec, Cosmos, and sensor simulation pipelines in data centers or cloud environments.
• Debug cross-stack systems spanning sensors, reconstruction models, world models, and GPU workloads.
