Position Overview

Solvus Global, a technology innovation company in materials and manufacturing, is seeking a passionate Senior Synthetic Chemist to lead advancements in metal recycling, additive manufacturing, and materials processing. This role involves designing synthetic routes, pioneering sustainable extraction processes, and contributing to cutting-edge solutions in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Design novel synthetic routes for metal extraction and biohydrometallurgical processes.
  • Research microbiological structures and functions relevant to mining.
  • Apply knowledge of organic chemistry, separation science, and biochemistry to additive manufacturing of metals and ceramics.
  • Conduct independent wet lab experiments.
  • Develop microbial-culture capabilities.
  • Perform internal studies and research.
  • Develop safe waste disposal practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
Required Skills and Attributes
  • Experience in the mining industry and hazardous waste disposal.
  • 4+ years in biological, organic, or polymeric laboratories or 5+ years in chemical engineering or materials labs.
  • Strong communication and synthesis skills.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
