Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hardware engineer to standardize XDVT test coverage for 800G, 1.6T, and future transceivers. You will define coverage, streamline submission and data reporting, and coordinate XDVT activities across R&D sites.

You will work with switch and DSP vendors for co-debugging on challenging link flap issues, and help develop tuning algorithms for Switch-based setups. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• BS EE with 9+ years or MS EE with 7+ years required.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience in optical transceiver characterization.
• Familiar with Switch OS such as Sonic by MSFT, Cumulus by Nvidia and VEOS by Arista.
• Strong data analysis using SQL, JMP, MS Excel.
• Hands-on experience with optical test instruments (DCA, OSA, BERT).

Responsibilities

• Standardize XDVT test coverage for 800G/1.6T and future transceivers.
• Coordinate global XDVT activities with R&D sites.
• Assist design/QA teams with evaluation and debugging on switches.
• Interface with switch and DSP vendors for co-debugging on link flap issues.
• Co-develop tuning algorithms for Switch-based setups (LPO/LRO).
• Establish switch-based knowledge base and best practices.
