Job summary

SafeSplash in Smyrna, GA seeks a Senior Instructor to oversee training and ongoing education of swim instructors, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for students and families. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead certification compliance, coaching, and staff development.

You will deliver quarterly in-services, mentor instructors, supervise lifeguards, and collaborate with management to tailor training needs.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while taking initiative.
• Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial training for new staff and ongoing training for all team members.
• Ensure certifications are obtained, current, and compliant for all staff.
• Track and manage training lifecycle including onboarding, renewals, and development milestones.
• Supervise instructors and lifeguards to ensure high-quality lessons and safety.
• Coach and mentor instructors in and out of the water.
• Assist instructors with curriculum challenges in water.
• Conduct quarterly in-services for continued education.
• Provide constructive feedback to staff through evaluations.
