Job summary

SafeSplash Cedar Park is seeking a Senior Swim Instructor to lead swimming lessons and mentor new staff. You will teach skills per the Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, safe environment and help students progress through milestones.

The role requires prior swim instruction, knowledge of all four strokes, and a willingness to assist with certification processes. Flexible scheduling, advancement opportunities, and family-friendly benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous swim instruction experience.
• Knowledge of all four strokes is required.
• Childcare or teaching experience is a plus.
• WSI certification preferred
• CPR/First Aid knowledge preferred (will assist with certification)

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming skills per Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner.
• Train new hires and monitor curriculum usage.
• Provide continuous positive feedback to students and customers.
• Structure class time with repetition, reinforcement, and skill introduction.
• Ensure swimmer safety during all activities.

What will you do as a Swim Instructor?

• The main focus of a senior swim instructor is to teach swimming skills in accordance with Streamline Brands curriculum in a fun, positive manner
• Provide training to new hires and monitor proper use of the curriculum
• Provide continuous, positive corrective feedback to students and customers on their swimming efforts
• Structure class time appropriately to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of required skills
• Ensure swimmer safety
  

What are we looking for in a Swim Instructor?

• Previous swim instruction and proper knowledge of all four strokes.
• Childcare or teaching experience a plus
• WSI certification preferred
• CPO knowledge preferred
• Current American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED, First Aid for adult, swimmer and infant preferred but we will help you get certified in 60 days of hire
• Special consideration given to instructors with experience teaching swimmers age 6 months to 10 years and Special Needs.

Expected hours: Up to 36 Hours
Pay: $16/hr+ depending on experience and qualifications
