Job summary
River Crossing YMCA in Doylestown, PA is seeking an Associate Head Coach to lead and develop a top regional swim program. You will coach training groups, design season plans, and help grow the competitive aquatics team with strong mentorship and program leadership.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years of coaching experience, relevant certifications, and a passion for youth development and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of competitive swim coaching experience.
- Current USA Swimming and/or YMCA Swimming certifications, or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches certifications, or ability to obtain upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach training groups with high standards of instruction and athlete development.
- Design and implement season training plans and daily workouts.
- Evaluate swimmer progress and provide regular feedback to athletes and families.
- Prepare swimmers for local, regional, YMCA, and USA Swimming competitions.
- Attend meets and provide on-deck coaching support during evenings and weekends.
- Assist in organizing team registrations, tryouts, and group placements.
- Mentor assistant coaches and promote consistent coaching philosophy.
