The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) in Warner Robins, GA, is seeking an experienced Senior Sustainment Technician to support sustainment activities including advanced manufacturing, repair, and corrosion technologies. This role involves machining printed and traditional components, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and providing guidance on design for manufacturability. The position also requires mentoring junior staff and supporting government and industry clients.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of CNC milling machine operation experience
  • At least 4 years of experience reading and editing G-code
  • At least 4 years of setting up milling machines
  • Proficiency with precision inspection tools
  • Knowledge of GD&T and military specifications
  • Ability to interpret models, drawings, and reports
  • Experience manufacturing aerospace parts from titanium and nickel alloys
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • U.S. citizenship (due to federal contract requirements)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years machining additively manufactured or cast metal parts
  • 1+ years in heat treat operations
  • Experience operating Haas VF series CNC machines
  • Experience with Mitsubishi MV-series EDM equipment
  • Experience collaborating with design and manufacturing engineers
  • Experience working in lab environments and adhering to policies
