Job summary

MSD Malaysia is seeking a Sr Specialist, Sustainability to optimize energy use and drive emissions reductions across facilities. You will lead energy conservation projects, coordinate with operations teams, and ensure accurate KPI tracking.

The role requires a degree in engineering or environmental science and 3–5 years of experience in sustainability initiatives, with familiarity in ASHRAE standards and digital tool deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or environmental field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience delivering energy conservation measures.
• Experience with engineering data interpretation and energy systems.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and sustainability guidelines.
• Experience deploying digital tools and sustainability projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement energy conservation measures in buildings and utility facilities.
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize energy use.
• Analyze systems to determine optimum operating conditions and improve efficiency.
• Educate employees on sustainability practices and initiatives.
• Monitor sustainability KPIs and ensure data accuracy across platforms.
• Support project work on site as subject matter expert in sustainability.
• Assist with deployment of sustainability digital tools and financial tracking.
