Job summary

Genentech seeks a Principal Program Manager - Environment/Sustainability to define and execute site environmental stewardship initiatives, driving decarbonization across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. The role protects biodiversity, water resources, and air quality through data-driven interventions and reports to enterprise leadership for ESG compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, life science, engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing/biotech preferred.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and ESG reporting.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year sustainability roadmap aligned with ESG goals.
• Create and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and data analytics for performance tracking.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and keep up to date with CSRD/ESRS trends.
• Develop policies and procedures to drive continuous sustainability improvements.
