Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Senior Surveyor to direct field crews, oversee survey data collection, and ensure accuracy of legal descriptions and deliverables. You will manage project progress, budgets, and client communications in a dynamic office and field setting.

Ideal candidates hold a PE/LS, 10+ years of surveying, and proficiency with InRoads, MicroStation, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, with knowledge of subsurface utilities, regulations, and advanced mapping technologies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of surveying experience required.
• Professional Registered Land Surveyor status required.
• Familiarity with subsurface utility designation and locating.
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local surveying regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions.
• Manage operations of multiple field crews.
• Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets and billing.
• Responsible for client management on projects.
• Business development for the discipline in the market.
• Lead and manage team members with performance coaching.
