Role Details

• Location: Helvetia, AZ
• Reports To: Senior Shot Term Planning Engineer
• Type: Full-time, Regular

Responsibilities

1. Conduct surveys to identify and map mine locations.
2. Utilize GPS and GIS technology for data collection and analysis.
3. Support CAD drafting for field and technical investigations.
4. Develop and maintain detailed maps and plans.
5. Assess safety risks and geological factors.
6. Monitor mine development and ensure operations stay within boundaries.
7. Measure and document the volume of extracted materials and structural changes.
8. Provide data for feasibility studies and excavation plans.
9. Coordinate with engineering teams on mining operations.
10. Maintain accurate records and prepare survey reports.
11. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
12. Research and implement improved data capturing methods.
13. Review reports for accuracy and compliance.
14. Train and develop team members.
15. Monitor site team evaluations and consistency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in Mining, Geology, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Arizona regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and survey software.
• Experience in Mine Surveying.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Land Surveyor in Tucson, AZ.
• Experience in copper mining and construction control.

Other Requirements

• Physical ability to perform outdoor surveying tasks on varied terrain.
• Work outdoors in diverse weather conditions, including driving company or personal vehicles.
• Ability to pass a physical, drug screening, and background checks.
