Job summary

BL Companies is seeking an experienced Survey Technician/Crew Chief in Meriden, CT. This role focuses on field data processing, boundary determination, and digital mapping using advanced technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience in surveying, proficiency in Civil 3D, and strong technical skills. We offer a competitive benefits package including generous PTO and 401k matching.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience as Survey Technician or in Boundary Surveying, Construction Stakeout, and ALTA Surveys.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and strong technical skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Convert field notes and sketches into electronic survey maps.
• Process horizontal and vertical field data using survey coordinates.
• Interpret and plot deed descriptions for boundary determination.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation for survey operations.
• Create Digital Terrain Models (DTM) for contour generation.
• Travel locally 25-50% of the time.
