Successful candidates will be expected to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while collaborating with internal team members and stakeholders. The Professional Land Surveyor will successfully manage the surveying department within our Greenville office. This role involves considerable coordination amongst various teams, agencies and clients as required. This position may support multiple projects in various areas throughout the southeast as required.

Responsibilities
- Experience in all aspects of Land Surveying including Boundary surveys, topographic surveys, tree surveys, ALTA surveys, construction staking, regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to certify and assume liability for work performed.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties based on legal deeds and titles.
- Record results of surveys including shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
- Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other terrain characteristics.
- Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
- Consult clients to understand their needs, provide information about surveying services, and communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ensure surveys comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as accuracy standards and professional ethics codes.
- SC Registered Professional Land Surveyor license is required.
- Ten or more years experience in the Surveying field.
- Travel will be required as necessary.
- Functionally proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Experience in using additional industry‑standard design and modeling software (ICPR, StormCAD) is a plus.
- Functional knowledge of AutoCAD is required (proficiency is a plus).
- Ability to work independently or on a team.
- Ability to work within budget and schedule constraints on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient written & oral communication skills; ability to comfortably interact with peers, staff members, clients, and the public is required.
- Staying updated on advancements in surveying technology, techniques, and regulations through ongoing education and professional development.
- Ability to manage and schedule all surveying related work tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- SC Registered Professional Land Surveyor license.
- Ten or more years of experience in land surveying.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed under dynamic interactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; experience with ICPR or StormCAD is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within budget and schedule constraints.
