Job summary

G3 Engineering & Surveying seeks a Survey Project Manager in Myrtle Beach, SC to lead complex surveying initiatives from concept to completion. You will guide boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topo, construction, and subdivision surveys, coordinating field crews, CAD technicians, and project teams to deliver accurate, regulatory-compliant results.

You’ll mentor staff, promote QA/QC, and serve as a primary client contact, driving proposals, budgets, and business development while ensuring high-quality

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of demonstrated and progressive experience under a licensed surveyor.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field (preferred) or relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience interpreting deeds, plats, title commitments, easements, and legal descriptions.
  • Effective and engaging leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to quality and technical accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard surveying software

Responsibilities

  • Managing boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, construction, and subdivision surveys.
  • Coordinating field crews, CAD technicians, and project teams.
  • Managing project schedules, budgets, scope, staffing, and resources.
  • Reviewing survey products for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Performing QA/QC reviews of plats, easement exhibits, as-built surveys, legal descriptions, and other survey deliverables.
  • Reviewing deeds, title commitments, easements, and land records to identify potential boundary and title issues.
  • Helping establish and improve surveying standards, workflows, and procedures.
  • Mentoring team members and provide guidance on surveying methods and project execution.
  • Serving as a key client contact and help build long-term client relationships.
  • Supporting proposals, fee estimates, budgets, and business development efforts.
  • Collaborating with engineering, construction, survey, and other internal teams

We are looking for a Survey Project Manager to join our team in Myrtle Beach, SC and play a key role in delivering high-quality surveying projects from concept through completion.


This is more than a project management position. You’ll be a technical leader, client advocate, quality champion, and mentor helping ensure every project meets the highest standards for accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.


In this role, you'll drive multiple projects from initiation through final deliverables by:

What You Bring


  • 2+ years of demonstrated and progressive and supervised experience under a license surveyor

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, or a related field (preferred) or relevant work experience in lieu of degree

  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, regulations, and industry standards

  • Experience interpreting deeds, plats, title commitments, easements, and legal descriptions

  • Effective and engaging leadership and team coordination skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A commitment to quality and technical accuracy

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard surveying software


You'll also have or be progressing toward, professional credentials, including:



  • Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) exam / SIT designation

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Professional Surveyor (PS) license/registration

  • Completion of applicable NCEES Principles and Practice of Surveying (PS) and state-specific surveying examinations
