Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is a national leader in heavy civil construction, seeking a Survey Manager to lead field survey teams and manage data across projects. You will work with Project Managers and Superintendents to establish survey control, develop 3D terrain models, and ensure quality control in field reporting.

Applicants should have extensive experience with Civil 3D, Carlson, and Trimble software, a strong leadership track record, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in construction layout with 5 years in survey management.
• Preferred licensure as Professional Surveyor and Mapper in FL/MA/CT and a Civil Engineering degree.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D, Carlson and Trimble Business Center; experience with modern survey equipment.
• Ability to research evidence, coordinate with project teams and maintain QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise field survey staff and manage data for multiple projects.
• Ensure safety policies and proper field reporting per company standards.
• Establish project survey control and field layout with PMs and Superintendents.
• Oversee calibration, maintenance and security of survey equipment.
• Prepare final records, as-builts, and coordinate survey subcontractors.
• Coordinate data transfers, models and workflows for GPS machine control.
