Job summary

Atwell, LLC, a leader in consulting, engineering and construction services, seeks a Senior Survey CAD Technician in Mitchellville, MD. You’ll produce drawings (ALTA, Final Plats, maps), analyze survey data and coordinate with project teams to hit chargeability goals.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in AutoCAD Civil 3D, familiarity with Trimble Business Center, and a solid background in Atlas/Topo/Boundaries and construction staking.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) preferred.
• High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of Atlas, Topo, boundaries and construction staking.

Responsibilities

• Act as a valuable resource for design staff, guiding drafting practices.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete assignments per Atwell standards.
• Generate drawings including ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, layouts and staking.
• Review survey data to analyze site conditions, including legal descriptions and easements.
• Edit and modify plans following agency, municipal and client revisions.
• Maintain communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders on workflow status.

Senior Survey CAD Technician at Atwell, you will work on diverse projects with various sizes, scopes, and details. You will work in a flexible work environment with a fantastic culture and a national presence.

Job Description

• Resourceful Support: Act as a valuable resource for design staff, guiding drafting practices and procedures.
• CAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software to complete assignments, ensuring they align with Atwell's standards.
• Drawing Production: Generate various drawings specific to projects, including ALTA, Final Plats, Maps of Dedication, construction layouts, and construction staking.
• Survey Data Analysis: Review project survey data to analyze existing site conditions, considering factors like legal descriptions, ALTA Surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
• Plan Modification: Responsibly edit and modify plans in line with revisions from agencies, municipalities, and clients, following directives closely.
• Workflow Coordination: Maintain open communication with Project Managers and Team Leaders regarding workflow status, ensuring the team meets chargeability goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years of previous AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience
• Experience with Trimble Business Center (TBC) Preferred
• High School Diploma Required, Associated Degree Preferred
• Thorough understanding of Altas, Topo's, Boundaries, and Construction Staking

Pay Range: $30 USD - $48 USD
