Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Certification in BLS from American Heart Association.
• Certification in surgical technology required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon and nursing staff during various surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and anticipate surgeon's needs.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with quality/safety measures.

Skills

Demonstrates skills and competencies to safely perform duties

Proficient in English communication

Understanding of medical terminology

Proficient in hospital database use (EPIC)

Competent in decontamination and autoclave equipment

Education

High School diploma or equivalent
