The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX seeks a Senior Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will provide advanced technical assistance before, during, and after surgery, and support surgeons and nurses to maximize patient safety.

This on-site role requires completion of a Surgical Technologist Program, certification, and a high school diploma or GED, with at least five years of related experience in surgical technology. Day shift, non-management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Surgical Technologist provides advanced level technical assistance to the surgical team before, during, and following surgery. Expertly assists in surgical operations under the supervision of the surgeons and registered nurses to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that the equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
