Qualifications

• Technical Degree or Diploma in Surgical Technology is required.
• Associates Degree in Surgical Technology is preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub duties to assist physician during complex procedures.
• Hands instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed.
• Assist the circulator with room setup based on patient assignment.
• Maintain a sterile field and apply aseptic techniques.
• Demonstrate initiative and participate in continuing education.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor to new surgical techs.
• Maintain competency across multiple surgical specialties.
• Manage resources and ensure efficient operation of the room.
