Description
The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include: being prepared for and knowledgeable of the surgical procedure to be performed, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, anticipating and assisting the surgeon as necessary, working with circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintaining familiarity with, functioning in, and properly caring for all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician also takes responsibility for the care of specimens and performs other related duties.
