Job summary

STERIS is seeking a Tech 4 Repair technician to inspect, repair, and refurbishment of surgical instruments in a lab-based setting. You will ensure timely, quality repairs and compliance in a production facility as part of a high-performing team.

The role involves using varied testing procedures, diagnosing defects, replacing parts, training others, and supporting ISO goals. Applicants should have a high school diploma and extensive experience in surgical device repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years work experience in surgical device or instrument repairs
• Technician III training and promotional requirements
• Demonstrated expert diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to train employees on new repair skills for surgical devices and/or instruments
• Must be able to meet flexible schedules including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Services, restores and repairs surgical devices/instruments and equipment to specifications.
• Identifies problems and uses testing procedures to examine mechanisms for defects.
• Replaces or repairs defective parts.
• Reassembles and tests assembly for conformance to specifications.
• Orders routine repair parts and troubleshoots inventory.
• Participates in development of standard work instructions and validation of those instructions.
• Complies with ISO goals and safety policies.
