Job summary

Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a Tokio Marine Group member, seeks a Surety Underwriting Specialist to join our team in Seattle, WA, with additional offices in Lonetree, CO and Alpharetta, GA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ related Surety UW experience within P&C Commercial Insurance.
• AFSB Designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and participates in marketing activities for business development and relationship building.
• Participates in the producer management process which may include but is not limited to, premium collections
• Prepares underwriting submissions, making recommendations and/or decisions within established authority limits.
• Conducts analysis and applies appropriate underwriting techniques necessary to make an accurate evaluation of risk acceptability.
• Prepares and participates in proposals to producers and/or accounts negotiating terms and conditions.
• May ensure credit quality of accounts managed while maintaining and updating underwriting files.
