JCW is currently working on behalf of a leading specialty insurance carrier looking to add a Senior/AVP Commercial Surety Underwriter in a fully remote role with national reach and strong growth potential. In this role, you'll take ownership of a $2M+ Midwest-focused book of business—primarily account-based with some transactional exposure—and help expand and deepen broker relationships across the region.

Responsibilities:

1. Underwrite a range of accounts from startups to Fortune 500 companies
2. Manage underwriting for new submissions, renewals, and credit drawers with appropriate collateral/security
3. Develop new business by building and maintaining strong broker relationships

Qualifications:

1. 7+ years of experience in commercial surety underwriting
2. Strong relationships in the Midwestern territory
