Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a warehouse support aide to assist with issuing parts, equipment, and supplies and to maintain detailed inventory records for on-hand items. Work includes coordinating receiving, storage, and disposal of obsolete property, unloading delivery vehicles, and assisting with moves, pickups, and other transport tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of work experience directly related to the area of employment.
• Physical demands include bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and grasping; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with issuing parts, equipment, and supplies and maintain inventory records for items on hand.
• Operate two-way radio relaying messages from road crews to Repair Shop staff.
• Assist with posting mechanic parts and labor on job sheets.
• Support central warehousing, distribution, and service operations as assigned by supervisor.
• Coordinate receiving, storage, and disposal of obsolete, junked, and unserviceable property.
• Unload vehicles delivering property to the Supply Depot and organize for inspection.
• Assist with loading property for transport; assist with special services such as moves and deliveries.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
