Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in the United States seeks a Senior Manager, Supply Chain - Project Management to lead strategic initiatives that improve performance, cost take-out, inventory visibility, and productivity across the Corrugated Packaging organization.

You will coordinate cross-functional workstreams with operations, planning, finance, IT, and commercial teams while delivering measurable business results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, supply chain, or related field.
• An MBA or MS degree is preferred for advanced roles.
• Moderate business travel, 10-15%.
• Experience leading cross-functional supply chain initiatives.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support strategic supply chain initiatives across packaging and operations.
• Translate priorities into structured initiative plans with milestones and accountability.
• Support governance cadence, executive communications, and decision tracking.
• Maintain calendars, milestone tracking, and action logs across workstreams.
• Own initiative management including milestones, savings, and risk management.
• Collaborate with plants, mills, finance, IT, commercial, logistics, and customer service.
• Pilot, implement, and continuously improve supply chain programs and tools.
• Prepare leadership-ready updates on status, impacts, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Develop training materials and communications to enable sustained execution.
• Drive change management and accountability after initiatives are implemented.
• Serve as a strategic partner bringing structure and a continuous improvement mindset.
