Job summary

Becton Dickinson seeks a seasoned Planning/Buyer to establish production schedules and secure materials for manufacturing. You will coordinate with production, planners and logistics to balance inventory and prevent shortages, ensuring alignment with the production plan and supplier deliveries.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing or supply chain, BA/BS in a related field, and APICS preferred. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, driving reliability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Business.
• Minimum 5 years in a Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management environment.
• APICS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing production schedules and ensure material availability.
• Collaborate with production operators, planning/buying teams and logistics management across BD.
• Balance raw materials and supplies to minimize on-hand inventory.
• Prevent outages of material and production stoppages that could impact other plants/customers.
• Maintain open orders in the system and update the production plan.
• Maintain ongoing communications with manufacturing regarding schedules, materials, etc.
• Coordinate inventory integrity with manufacturing to maintain system reliability.
• Assist with compliance measurement reporting systems.
• Support new and experimental product runs including replacement or new components.
