Job summary

Sensient Technologies is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planner to advance standardized planning across multiple sites. You will drive improvements in on-time performance, inventory optimization, and cash flow while maintaining cost efficiency.

You will lead cross-site initiatives, train teams on standard work and ERP processes, and collaborate enterprise-wide to translate data into actionable improvements. This is an on-site role with significant travel expectations.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in supply chain, ideally across material and capacity planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent; APICS CSCP/CPIM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive standardization: implement and sustain standard supply chain processes across sites to reduce excess inventory and inefficiencies.
• Analyze and improve performance: consolidate monthly data, report KPIs, identify trends and root causes, translate insights into improvements.
• Coach and influence sites: train site teams on standard work and ERP processes, set expectations, drive adoption.
• Lead continuous improvement: assess practices, identify gaps, develop action plans, drive improvement initiatives.
• Be a supply chain change leader: align with company vision, remove roadblocks, travel 40–50% internationally.

This is an Order-to-Cash (O2C) opportunity where you’ll help shape how planning and supply chain operations work across Sensient sites. As a Senior Supply Chain Planner on our Corporate Business Optimization team, you’ll drive smarter, standardized practices that improve on-time performance, optimize inventory and cash flow, and keep operations cost-efficient.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive standardization: Partner with sites to implement and sustain standard supply chain processes that reduce excess inventory, overproduction, aging products, rework, and distribution inefficiencies.
• Analyze and improve performance: Consolidate monthly supply chain data, report KPIs, identify trends and root causes, and translate insights into opportunities for improvement.
• Coach and influence sites: Train and guide site teams on standard work, planning practices, and ERP processes while setting clear expectations and driving adoption.
• Lead continuous improvement: Assess site practices, identify process and knowledge gaps, develop corrective action plans, and follow through on improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives.
• Be a supply chain change leader: Bring Sensient’s supply chain vision to sites, solve roadblocks, maintain relevant planning coursework, and collaborate across the enterprise—with 40-50% travel to Sensient locations internationally.

What You’ll Bring:

• Deep supply chain expertise: 8–10+ years of experience in supply chain, ideally across material and capacity planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Analytical & results-driven mindset: Strong data analysis, problem-solving, deductive reasoning, attention to detail, and a track record of delivering quality results on time.
• Strong systems & technical skills: Hands-on ERP experience, with Oracle JD Edwards preferred, plus strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI capabilities.
• Collaborative leadership: Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels and cultures.
• Adaptability & continuous improvement mindset: A positive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to navigate challenges, work independently or collaboratively, and manage shifting priorities. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent required; APICS CSCP/CPIM preferred.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.
