Job summary

Marmon Holdings in Hillsboro, OR (also Dallas, TX) seeks a Senior Supply Chain Planner to translate demand into executable production, procurement, capacity, and inventory plans. You will balance product availability with working capital and supply risk, using IBP and S&OE to anticipate constraints and drive cross‑functional recovery.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining supply plans and MPS, projecting demand vs capacity, identifying shortages, and optimizing safety stock.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, analytics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive supply, production, materials, procurement, or inventory planning experience.
• Experience with supply plans, MPS, MRP, capacity plans, supplier management, procurement, and inventory optimization.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel; experience with S&OP/IBP, SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, analytics, automation, or AI tools preferred.
• CPIM/CSCP or other certification preferred.

• Model changes in demand, capacity, lead times, and inventory; recommend mitigations.
• Provide IBP-related supply plans, capacity assessments, and inventory projections.
• Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, MOQs, and delivery performance; resolve shortages with Procurement.
• Translate MRP requirements into procurement and supplier needs to protect supply continuity and working capital.
• Support S&OE with alternate sources and supplier risks; RFQs and long-term supply needs.
• Optimize planning parameters, safety stock, inventory targets, and order quantities.
• Plan supply, capacity, and inventory readiness for new product introductions, transitions, and discontinuations.
• Analyze impacts on availability, revenue, backorders, inventory, and cost; drive corrective actions.
• Improve planning data, processes, reporting, and decisions using SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Power BI, and automation.

Job Scope

The Senior Supply Chain Planner develops integrated short-, mid-, and long-term supply plans that translate demand into executable production, procurement, capacity, material, and inventory plans. This role balances product availability and customer service with inventory, working capital, and supply risk. Through Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE), this position anticipates constraints, evaluates scenarios, and drives cross-functional recovery.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain supply plans and Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with demand, capacity, supplier capabilities, lead times, and inventory targets.
• Project demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and product availability; proactively identify shortages, gaps, and constraints.
• Model changes in demand, capacity, lead times, and inventory; recommend trade-offs, mitigation, and recovery plans.
• Provide supply plans, capacity assessments, inventory projections, risks, and recommendations for IBP.
• Manage S&OE exceptions, shortages, backorders, and recovery actions with cross-functional teams.
• Translate MRP requirements into procurement and supplier needs to protect supply continuity and working capital.
• Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, MOQs, and delivery performance; resolve shortages with Procurement.
• Support Strategic Sourcing with alternate sources, supplier risks, RFQs, and long-term supply requirements.
• Optimize planning parameters, safety stock, inventory targets, and order quantities.
• Monitor inventory turns, months of supply, and excess and obsolete (E&O) exposure.
• Plan supply, capacity, and inventory readiness for new product introductions, transitions, and discontinuations.
• Analyze impacts on availability, revenue, backorders, inventory, and cost; drive corrective actions.
• Improve planning data, processes, reporting, and decisions using SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Power BI, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive supply, production, materials, procurement, or inventory planning experience.
• Experience developing supply plans, MPS, MRP, capacity plans, supplier management, procurement, and inventory optimization.
• Strong quantitative analysis, scenario planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of supplier capacity, lead times, MOQs, delivery performance, inventory optimization, and E&O.
• Proficiency with ERP, advanced planning systems, and Excel.
• Experience with S&OP/IBP, S&OE, SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Power BI, analytics, automation, or AI tools preferred.
• Medical device, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing experience and APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
