Job summary

Victoria’s Secret & Co. is seeking a Sr Supply Chain Planner in Columbus, OH to ensure alignment of demand and supply with operational capability. This role blends daily planning with analytics, cross-functional coordination, and project analytics.

You will mentor junior team members and collaborate with Brand and Logistics functions to deliver cost-effective, timely inventory movements while optimizing KPI performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain planning, logistics, business management or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–5 years of inventory management or distribution experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Align demand and supply with operational capability.
  • Create/manage inventory flow plans from Vendor to Store including labor, space, and costs.
  • Create load plans for movement between Vendor and storage locations balancing cost, service, speed.
  • Develop, monitor and report KPI for cost, service and productivity; drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop what-if scenarios to model cost/service improvements in inventory flow.
  • Lead process- or inventory productivity improvement projects from Vendor to Store.
  • Operate SAP R/3, Manugistics Fulfillment, EDW, and Flow Planning Databases.
  • Collaborate with Brand and Logistics cross-functional partners.
  • Provide analytics/insights to align demand, supply, and operations capabilities.
  • Lead regular communications with vendors and internal partners.

Job description

The Sr Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring the effective alignment of demand and supply with operational capability. Role is blend of daily operational planning, ad-hoc analytics, cross-functional coordination and project analytics. The Sr Supply Chain planner also serves as a mentor and aids in training for more junior members of the team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the effective alignment of demand and supply with operational capability
  • Create, analyze, publish, and manage inventory flow plans that support resource planning spanning from Vendor to Store and include labor, space, and expenses
  • Create load plans for movement between Vendor and storage locations, balancing cost-, service-, and speed objectives
  • Develop, monitor and report key performance indicators (KPI’s) of cost, service and productivity. Support and facilitate continuous improvement of performance
  • Develop “what-if” scenarios to model and analyze cost/service improvements in the flow of assigned inventory
  • Lead process- and/or inventory productivity improvement projects which may span from Vendor to Store
  • Competently operate SAP R/3, Manugistics Fulfillment, EDW, and Flow Planning Databases when performing the above
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners within Brand and Logistics functions when performing the above
  • Provide cross-functional partners with analytics and insights which approve alignment between demand, supply, and operations capabilities
  • Lead regular communication with vendors and internal partners with business updates
  • Mentor junior members on the team with regards to the above responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Business Management or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of inventory management or distribution management experience in high volume, fast paced seasonal or heavily promoted businesses (retail or consumer goods) is preferred
  • Ability to solve problems in an abstract environment
  • Strong interpersonal- and problem-solving skills required
  • High proficiency and skills in current technologies and applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, Access, SQL, etc.)
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs
  • Excellent relationship management skills with internal and external partners
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
  • Expertise using Microsoft applications
  • Experience with SQL, SAP, MSI Dossiers or other Business Intelligence tools preferred
